Superdrug Naturally Radiant 5% Glycolic Tonic – Pixi Glow Tonic Dupe?

When I first saw this product online the first thing I thought was ooooh, a super affordable potential dupe for Pixi’s Glow Tonic?! Of course I had to try it out to see what it was like. I had already tried and reviewed the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Pads and unfortunately was not impressed but I still had high hopes for this liquid tonic version.

superdrug naturally radiant 5% glycolic acid tonic toning solution review

This product is vegan and cruelty free and comes in a plastic 100ml bottle. This is on the small side and I got through this bottle fairly quickly so it would be amazing if they increased the size, however, as it’s so affordable it doesn’t really matter if you have to repurchase regularly.

I use this product on a cotton pad morning and evening straight after cleansing. It has the same scent as the rest of Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant range which I love and makes it really enjoyable to use. It is an alcohol-free formula which is brilliant as alcohol can be drying and unnecessary. The percentage of 5% glycolic acid is great and makes it equivalent in strength to Pixi Glow Tonic. If you don’t know what glycolic acid does, essentially it is an excellent exfoliator which means it can provide many benefits to the skin by ridding it of dead skin cells. For example, it can improve fine lines, acne, blackheads, dullness, oiliness and uneven texture.

I found this formula gentle and effective at keeping my skin in a good condition. I believe it has helped prevent spots and redness and also kept my complexion looking bright and clear. It feels really nice to use, refreshing and cooling with a slight tingle. I definitely think it is comparable to Pixi Glow Tonic and whilst it has been a while since I used that product, I don’t remember it doing anything for me that this product hasn’t done! This product is definitely worth trying if you’re a Pixi Glow Tonic fan.

I still love my Nip+Fab glycolic pads but this product is something I am sure I will repurchase as I am very impressed. This product is available at Superdrug with a full price of £5.99 and it is usually on some kind of offer.

Love Nicole xxxx
