I found this eye liner on Beauty Bay and thought for £4 it was worth a shot. It’s a felt tip pen style eye liner which I’ve found to be my favourite as they’re generally quick and simple to use. I’d also heard lots of positive things about BH Cosmetics so was hopeful it would be a good product.
On initially looking at the product and swatching it things were looking good. It swatched well on my hand and gave a pigmented and very black line that didn’t bleed or feather. It also turned out to be pretty hard to wash off so I thought it’d have good staying power. Things were looking good until I tried applying it to my actual eye line…
The nib is awful! I found it way too stiff and it really dragged my eye lid when I tried to draw a line. It was just so hard and inflexible it hurt too much to use. I could barely stand it enough to just line one eye. It felt fine on my hand and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be bad, but it is. Eyes are delicate and I just cannot put this near my eyes! Therefore, I’ve never actually managed to fully line my eyes with this and see how it wears for a day. I do all I can to use up products even if I don’t like them but this just has no other use and I physically can’t do it to my eyes, I’ve tried but no, it’s got to be binned.
This eye liner has good ratings on the Beauty Bay site so I am shocked other people find this okay to use. I have another eye liner to review in the coming weeks on here but I will tell you now it is a LOT better than this one in every way (it’s by Eyeko).
